About Us

The Quad City Labor Day parade held in East Moline IL each year is the TRUE, LABOR DAY PARADE – represented by various Union organizations, a Grand Marshal nominated from one of the local Unions or the Quad City Federation of Labor. We have high school marching bands, endorsed local or state political officials, club or social service organizations, and entertainment businesses from around the Quad Cities. In following the “TRUE, LABOR DAY PARADE,” all vehicles participating IN our parade must have a VIN# that begins with either 1, 2, 4, or 5.

The parade route is as follows: exits out of the John Deere Parking Lot (Harvest Way) and circles it’s way to 15th Avenue in downtown East Moline and typically ends around 3rd ST and River Drive. From there, volunteers can either walk back to Harvest Way parking area or hitch a ride on a bus, trolly car, or hop into/onto your own entry to ride back to parking area. It’s a great day for family and friends to come out to see the many unions, labor friendly businesses, fun organizations, and high school bands represented in our community. Sometimes, due to construction, the route will change a bit.
